This is so incredibly sad. Erik Roner, who was often featured on MTV’s Nitro Circus, allegedly died in a freak skydiving accident, a new report claims. Erik, 37, was reportedly performing a jump with a group of skydivers during a golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 28, when something went horribly wrong.
Sadly, Erik hit a tree on his descent died from injuries sustained in the accident, a spokesperson for Squaw Valley Ski Resort told TMZ. Erik, who was often featured on Travis Pastrana‘s Nitro Circus show, was an action sports star legend. He even skydived with an umbrella in 2013 — watch that video below.
Erik is survived by his wife, Annika, and two children, Oskar and Kasper. The story is developing, but since this sad news broke, fans, as well as members of his MTV family, have been mourning Erik’s death on Twitter
